About The Position

The position involves working in a warehouse environment, primarily during night shifts from Sunday to Thursday, 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM. The role requires the use of a reach truck to transport incoming freight to inventory from staging areas and to replenish pick slots in a timely manner while adhering to safety and quality standards. The employee will work as part of a team and is expected to follow all safety policies and procedures, perform safety checks on equipment, and ensure a safe work environment. Responsibilities include inspecting items for damage, performing temperature and quality checks, and maintaining the cleanliness of the work area. The position also requires the completion of necessary paperwork at the end of the shift and may involve other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
• 6 Months to 1 year of warehouse and/or distribution work experience
• Reach Truck experience required
• Able to stand, walk, reach, lift repeatedly throughout the shift
• Able to lift and stack product between 10-30 pounds and up to 80 pounds occasionally throughout the shift
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments, i.e. cooler, freezer, and dry
• Pass pre-employment drug test

Nice To Haves

• 1-2 years of warehouse and/or distribution work experience
• Foodservice distribution or related industry experience
• Pallet jack and/or forklift certified
• OSHA Forklift operator certificate

Responsibilities

• Transport incoming freight to inventory from staging areas for storage in the appropriate slots.
• Replenish/re-stock pick slots in a timely manner ensuring all safety, GMP, and quality standards are met.
• Function as a team member within the department and organization.
• Follow all preferred work methods, safety policies, and procedures per company guidelines.
• Perform safety checks on equipment and prepare for operations.
• Inspect items for damage and perform temperature and quality checks.
• Locate proper slot on storage racks and set pallets in place with forklift or hand stack items.
• Enter product data and location into RF unit.
• Rotate date-sensitive stock and remove outdated inventory according to company policy.
• Remove empty pallets and inspect them for damage.
• Perform general housekeeping duties in the work area.
