About The Position

The Forklift & Overhead Crane Operator is responsible for safely operating forklifts and overhead cranes to move, load, unload, and stage materials within a manufacturing and warehouse environment. This role supports production and shipping operations by ensuring materials are transported efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with all safety policies and procedures. The role is situated in Hebron, OH and is not a remote or hybrid position. Perma-Pipe International Holdings, Inc is a dynamic, global supplier of pipe coating solutions and factory pre-insulated piping systems serving the oil & gas, district heating and cooling, and industrial markets. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1–2 years of forklift operation experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Valid forklift certification required (or ability to obtain upon hire).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience operating overhead cranes strongly preferred.
  • Overhead crane certification required (or ability to obtain upon hire).
  • Knowledge of safe rigging and lifting practices is a plus.
  • Ability to read work orders, shipping documents, and production schedules.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment to transport raw materials and finished goods.
  • Operate overhead cranes and hoists to lift, position, and move heavy materials safely.
  • Stage materials for production lines to ensure continuous workflow.
  • Load and unload trucks, ensuring materials are properly secured and documented.
  • Assist with timely delivery of materials to production and shipping areas.
  • Support inventory control, material tracking, and proper storage practices.
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Follow OSHA regulations and company safety policies, including lockout/tagout and rigging procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
  • Assist with general warehouse and production tasks as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain efficiency and workflow.
