Forklift Operators Production
About The Position
Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a forklift performing multiple duties throughout entire plant. Main responsibility will be to transport product container of wood and/or plastic bins, drums, and parts from one location to another using a variety of different forklift types, including propane and diesel lifts. Essential Function: Transporting products safely from one area to another as directed by leads and management. Ensuring production area is supplied with the correct type of material needed. Disposing of recyclables, trash and waste in designated bin and trash receptacles.
Requirements
- Ability to complete the company forklift safety and training program.
- Requires the ability to follow verbal and written commands, work with others, and the ability to coordinate production with peers.
- Requires the ability to work any shift.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to get on and off a forklift minimum 180 times per shift.
- Must be able to use hands and feet in full range of motion.
- Some pulling and pushing required.
- Must have good hand and eye coordination skills.
- Must be able to work around moving equipment.
- Must be able to drive motorized vehicle.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Requires the ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
- 3 plus years’ experience required
