About The Position

DHL Supply Chain is hiring for the position of Forklift Operator. This role is crucial in one of the world's most essential industries, providing endless opportunities for growth and development. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating a forklift and/or Tugger, performing material handler duties such as loading and unloading, stacking, staging, and palletizing products. The position is for the second shift, which runs from 6 PM to 6 AM, rotating through all seven nights of the week. The pay for this position is $19.55 per hour, with an additional $1.50 shift differential, totaling $21.05 per hour.

Requirements

• Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred.
• Six months warehouse experience, preferred.
• Six months forklift operation experience.

Nice To Haves

• Warehouse experience is preferred.
• Qualified applicants with no Forklift experience but a solid work history and willingness to be trained may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a forklift and/or Tugger.
• Perform material handler job duties including loading and unloading, stacking, staging, and palletizing products.
• Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using various types of forklifts or other power equipment for 80% of the specified shift.
• Pull and prepare product for shipment ensuring the exact number and types of product are loaded.
• Keep appropriate records and reports for inventory accuracy.
• Comply with all OSHA and MSDS standards.
• Verify load accuracy; check the load count, stability, and product damage, reporting variances as necessary.
• Change equipment battery or LP tank and monitor power source as necessary.
• Maintain the facility's equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
• Assist in physical inventories.
• Complete daily inspection of equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
