About The Position

This job involves driving a forklift and using pedals to operate a lifting apparatus. You will be responsible for preparing pallets for shipping according to schedule and keeping the work area clean and organized. It's important to operate equipment safely and efficiently using recommended methods. You must always follow OSHA and MSDS standards and company safety procedures and wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) while performing job duties. Loading and unloading shipments safely is also part of the job, along with efficiently picking, moving, stacking, and storing pallets in the appropriate areas. Utilizing a forklift, load, and unload pallets to and from trailers as well as move pallets to correct locations throughout the warehouse, that meet company and safety standards. Forklift candidates must present an OSHA Forklift Certification before the extension of a job offer.

Requirements

  • Must be 18+ years old
  • Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

  • Move levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
  • Pull and prepare pallets for shipment as scheduled.
  • Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
  • Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.
  • Forklift candidates must present an OSHA Forklift Certification before the extension of a job offer.
  • Protection Equipment (PPE) at all times while performing job duties.
  • Unload and load shipments safely.
  • Perform picking duties in an efficient manner that meets customer service standards.
  • Move, stack, and store pallets efficiently in the appropriate areas as required.
