About The Position

The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently moving products throughout the warehouse. This role uses RF scanners to accurately track inventory and ensure all items are documented as they are transported. The operator must secure each load properly and deliver products to the correct locations while maintaining a clean, organized, and safety‑focused work environment. Schedule Monday – Thursday 1-11:30 p.m. (Four Day Work Week!) Pay $18/hr. (bi-weekly pay) Overtime on occasion based on business demands

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
  • Flexibility in scheduling – able to work overtime as needed
  • Effectively perform all essential functions, including physical requirements
  • Ability to move awkward product lengths and weight.
  • Experience with operating a forklift with rate rating of 6,500 pounds.
  • Use of proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and company approved tools while remaining aware of hazards and maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Basic math, interpersonal/team, and reasoning skills
  • Ability to read, understand and carry out written procedures and standard work instructions.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in distribution or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience operating a forklift primarily with product weights of 2500 lbs. or more.
  • Prior experience lifting wide loads, as long as 18 feet.
  • Minimum one year experience operating a forklift.
  • High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

  • Operates a forklift to move product and pallets throughout warehouse to an area safely.
  • Communicates any discrepancies, product issues or safety issues with Supervisor.
  • Ensures that product is moved and scanned using a radio frequency scanner to the correct location and confirm product labels are accurate.
  • Maintains a clean and safe area free and clear of any debris.
  • Anticipates the needs of the business, keeping like product together and accessible.
  • Successfully passes all Novo forklift training and operate a forklift following all safety requirements established within Novo.
  • May place standup items into designated area by hand as required.
