For additional information about our company, visit our website at www.fisherind.com POSITION SCOPE The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely delivering, moving, loading and unloading a variety of goods in warehouses and on construction sites.

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Prior experience as a forklift operator
  • Forklift or heavy machinery certification
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to read and understand packaging, shipping documents, and safety guidelines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to perform basic math
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination, peripheral vision, and ability with spatial relationships
  • Efficient individual with excellent time management skills
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of basic tools and vehicle maintenance a plus

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of forklift driving course, a plus
  • Previous OSHA training a plus
  • Working knowledge of basic tools and vehicle maintenance a plus

Responsibilities

  • Loading and unloading materials from a variety of vehicles
  • Moving pallet-packed materials around the site or storage facility
  • Checking loads are secure
  • Performing equipment checks and basic maintenance
  • Following written instructions and keeping records
  • Adhering to health and safety regulations
  • Checks that loads are centered and properly stacked
  • Determines when repairs need to be made on equipment
  • Completing physical tasks quickly and accurately
  • Be compliant with OSHA rules and regulations as well as all company policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned
