Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or GED
- Prior experience as a forklift operator
- Forklift or heavy machinery certification
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to read and understand packaging, shipping documents, and safety guidelines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to perform basic math
- Excellent hand-eye coordination, peripheral vision, and ability with spatial relationships
- Efficient individual with excellent time management skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Attention to detail
- Working knowledge of basic tools and vehicle maintenance a plus
Nice To Haves
- Completion of forklift driving course, a plus
- Previous OSHA training a plus
- Working knowledge of basic tools and vehicle maintenance a plus
Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading materials from a variety of vehicles
- Moving pallet-packed materials around the site or storage facility
- Checking loads are secure
- Performing equipment checks and basic maintenance
- Following written instructions and keeping records
- Adhering to health and safety regulations
- Checks that loads are centered and properly stacked
- Determines when repairs need to be made on equipment
- Completing physical tasks quickly and accurately
- Be compliant with OSHA rules and regulations as well as all company policies
- Perform other duties as assigned
