The schedule is: Monday through Thursday 5 AM to 3 PM Primary Responsibilities: This position is responsible for the material handling of pallets, raw materials and finished goods throughout the facility; including both warehouse and production inventory areas. In addition, the forklift operator position may be cross-trained in other functions to serve as a reserve.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Required; forklift certification or 2+ years’ experience in forklift operation
  • Able to lift a maximum of 40 pounds
  • Background check required

  • Preferred; knowledge and experience in a SCALE or another warehouse system.

Responsibilities

  • Complete daily forklift mechanical inspections (training provided); ensure that equipment is working properly and report any problems.
  • Follow operating schedule to safely convey raw material to multiple machines.
  • Safely dispose of scrap following standard operating procedures.
  • Verify accuracy of inbound paperwork against actual shipped materials and, where applicable, enter information into computer systems (BPCS).
  • Accurately store raw materials in designated areas.
  • Place and remove raw materials from production area. Completing all movements in computer system (BPCS) as required.
  • Complete all required paperwork and documentation, including quality, scrap, housekeeping and end-of-shift production.
  • Accurate load finished goods and Raw Materials onto flatbed and box trailers as required. Effectively communicate any discrepancies at the time of loading/unloading.
  • Safely transport finished goods to warehouse and follow proper stacking procedures. Use of the RDT and scanning equipment via SCALE (WMS).
  • Safely and accurately pick and stage all materials for shipments in a dedicated location. Use of the RDT and scanning equipment via SCALE (WMS).
  • Properly file all shipping Bill of Lading and Manifests paperwork in identified locations.
  • Maintain all work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition at all times.
  • Perform all work in a safe manner; use proper lock-out procedures during repairs or machine adjustments. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and make certain that all safety equipment is in proper working order.
  • Perform these and other related duties as assigned or directed.
  • Actively participate in communication and WAVE culture.
