About The Position

Porta-King Building Systems manufactures five different types of prefabricated building and shelter systems which include high level ballistic rated construction. We manufacture eight
different types of modular wall systems, structural steel mezzanines and towers. Porta-King Buildings Systems is growing and looking for employees to grow with us. A forklift operator is a key component to our operation. Raw materials must be moved into the plant, constructed buildings and building components must be moved between specialized areas, and the fully completed buildings must be loaded onto trailers for delivery. To be considered candidates must show initiative, be safety conscientious, and value attendance, punctuality, and flexibility.
Forklift operators must have the ability to multitask and quickly and safely go from one task to another.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Be able to pass all pre-employment background screenings including a drug test.

Responsibilities

• Check all vehicle fluids before use.
• Check all vehicle fittings before use.
• Be aware of all surroundings.
• Follow all safety protocols such as honking when coming through blind sections.
• Be able to climb in and out of a forklift repetitively.
• Be able to lift up to 80 lbs to shoulder level.
• Be able to achieve and maintain certification as a forklift operator.
