About The Position

We are currently recruiting Forklift Operators to join our Recycling Plastics team based in Somerton, Melbourne. These are permanent full-time roles, working Monday to Friday on day and afternoon shift (6am to 2pm OR 2pm – 10pm).

Requirements

• A current valid Forklift licence is essential.
• Experience operating a counterbalance forklift in a warehousing or manufacturing environment.
• A good level of physical fitness as there may be some manual handling involved.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting purposes.
• Good communication skills and enjoy working in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate in accordance with site safety standards and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Completing job safety prechecks of the forklift before operation.
• Operate forklifts to move, load and unload materials within the plant, including transporting the recycled bail stock and production material as needed.
• Maintain a daily production logbook and assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
