About The Position

Clayton Supply Morristown is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to join our distribution warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move, locate, load, and unload products efficiently and accurately. The ideal candidate has experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment and is committed to maintaining a safe and organized workspace.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification
• Previous forklift or warehouse experience preferred
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions
• Basic math and inventory skills
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels
• Commitment to workplace safety and OSHA regulations
• Must adhere to all company safety policies and procedures

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, pallet jack, or other equipment as required) safely and efficiently
• Load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials using proper procedures
• Accurately pick, transport, and place inventory in designated warehouse locations
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety issues promptly
• Assist with shipping, receiving, and inventory control activities as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all warehouse procedures, safety guidelines, and company policies
• Work collaboratively with warehouse staff, supervisors, and inventory teams
• Other duties as assigned
