SupplyOne’s forklift operator position is responsible for completing warehouse functions that will satisfy customer requirements and expectations for maintaining the day-to-day material processing both incoming and outgoing products. This job requires the employee to load and unload trailers accurately and safely, all while operating a forklift. Duties also include scanning and physically moving corrugated and consumable units throughout the warehouse to appropriate locations, split load tags, and breakdown units according to customer requirements and specifications. Duties also include reading and understanding backlog reports, daily shipping logs, load tag notes, and carrying out customer specific loading requirements.

  • Directly responsible for the unloading, receiving, quality checking of incoming trucks and the putting away of materials as assigned
  • Reading customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped – understanding load tags and notes
  • Moving materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas by forklift or other common material handling tools
  • Learn and properly utilize the Tablet and RF Gun mounted on forklifts
  • Responsible for proper usage of dock plates, dock locks and wheel chocks
  • Sorting and placing materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to instructions
  • Filling requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, scanning tools, or other stock items and distributes items to shipping or to designated truck
  • Assembling customer orders from stock and places orders and shrink wraps on pallets or shelves, and/or relocating orders to a holding area or shipping department
  • Marking materials with identifying information using appropriate method
  • Compare identifying information with counts, weights, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records
  • Accurate recording of amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program
  • Printing delivery receipts for drivers, and assisting in securing loads with bars/straps
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations
  • Following the safety rules and guidelines established for forklift drivers is mandatory
  • Keep warehouse accessible and safe

  • Ability to become a certified forklift truck operator capable of maintaining forklift certification
  • Must interpret written and visual aids used to convey specific packaging requirements
  • Adhere to all safety standards set by SupplyOne
  • Accurate completion of bills of lading and become familiar with various forms that are used and required
  • Accurate data entry is required for recording receipts into the system and accurate documentation of product locations after movement of product
  • Able to perform all computer functions as they pertain to this job including but not limited to: Microsoft Windows, MS Office, MS Excel, and other proprietary computer programs
  • Able to learn and use proprietary packaging software
  • Ability to work in a timely and productive manner, using problem solving techniques, to meet our customer needs
  • Experience with UPS/FEDEX online software is desirable.
