About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts and other heavy equipment to facilitate the movement of materials within our warehouse environment. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our logistics operations, ensuring timely shipping and receiving processes while maintaining high safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in warehouse distribution and materials handling, demonstrating proficiency in various equipment operation.

Requirements

• 3+ yrs experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse environment.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse distribution processes, including order picking and shipping & receiving.
• Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including cranes and pallet jacks.
• Understanding of OSHA regulations related to workplace safety.
• Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic equipment issues effectively.
• Excellent physical stamina and ability to perform heavy lifting tasks consistently.
• Previous experience with warehouse management systems is preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks to load and unload materials efficiently.
• Conduct order picking using RF scanners to ensure accurate fulfillment of customer orders.
• Perform heavy lifting and materials handling tasks while adhering to OSHA safety regulations.
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Assist in shipping and receiving processes, ensuring proper documentation and organization of goods.
• Maintain equipment by conducting routine inspections and reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
• Support warehouse management systems by accurately entering data related to inventory movements.
• Participate in training sessions for new employees on safe equipment operation and warehouse procedures.
