About The Position

Responsible for insuring efficient movement, including data entry into WMS tracking system, of Packaging Department cribs of bulk product, pallets and supplies. Additionally responsible for transporting cribs of waste product to outdoor delivery area.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience with forklift operation is a plus.
  • Must have the ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions.
  • Must have ability to effectively present information before groups of customers or employees.
  • Must have ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
  • Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units or measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; along with the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Must have demonstrated computer skills and experience with the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced, high stress environment where multi-tasking is required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a factory issued lift truck operators license.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with forklift operation is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Transports cribs of bulk product to and from the crib off areas, storage freezer and add back lines.
  • Accurately records movement of cribs and supplies in production area using WMS tracking system.
  • Weigh cribs of bulk product and waste.
  • Enters weight data on computer.
  • Maintains supply levels for packaging lines.
  • Delivers pallets of product requiring rework to packaging personnel.
  • Takes necessary precautions to avoid contaminating product.
  • Replaces and records the installation of forklift batteries.
  • Completes forklift checklist.
  • Communicates problems or changes in production or quality to supervisor and appropriate personnel.
