Forklift Operator - PM Shift (3:00pm - 11:30pm)New
About The Position
ITS has an immediate opening for a skilled Forklift Operator at our warehouse in Whitestown, IN. This position reports to the Warehouse Area Manager and is responsible for safely operating basic powered material handling equipment (forklift (clamp, push-pull, etc.) for the purpose of product receipt, storage and order fulfillment. The Forklift Operator will also be responsible to become cross-trained on other distribution duties. Additional duties include but are not limited to: Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using a sit down forklifts with attachments (forks, clamps, push pull), or other power equipment 80% of the specified shift Safely load and unload trailer, inbound and outbound stock Complete daily inspection of equipment Verify load accuracy; checking the load count, stability, and product damage. Report variances as necessary Assist in physical inventories Follow procedures for damaged equipment Verify requisitions, shipping locations and seals Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Experience on electric forklifts (standup and order picker)
- Experience in a fast paced, distribution / logistics environment
- Strong team player
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail and flexibility in meeting deadlines
- High school or GED equivalent
- Must be able to read / write English
- Must be able to be on a forklift and be on your feet for at least 8 hours a day
