About The Position

The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating a forklift to move, locate, stack, and count materials within our warehouse and shop. This role plays a key part in supporting the day-to-day operations of VIVA Railings by ensuring materials are stored efficiently and handled with care to support production, shipping, and installation schedules. Requirements

• Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory practices
• Strong awareness of safety and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic math and counting skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
• Strong communication skills
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Valid forklift certification
• Minimum 1 year of experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load, unload, and move product throughout the warehouse and production areas.
• Transport raw materials, finished goods, and tools to and from staging areas, storage, production, and shipping.
• Ensure all materials are labeled correctly and stored in their designated locations.
• Assist with inbound and outbound shipments, verifying counts against packing slips.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse by following 5S practices.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report any issues to the Warehouse Lead.
• Support warehouse and shop teams with physical tasks including staging, sorting, and general material handling.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures, including use of PPE and proper lifting techniques.
• Work closely with the Inventory and Operations teams to ensure accurate material movement and reporting.
