Great Plains Mfg has an opening for a 1st Shift Forklift Operator in the Material Handling Department at the Salina Facility . This position works Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., plus occasional overtime, as required. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Understand team concepts and be a strong team player
- Excel in fast paced, high-pressure situations
- Ability to use and understand AS400
- Ability to read prints and be able to use tape measure, calipers, etc. as required
Responsibilities
- Provide safe movement of parts to required staging areas or locations
- Ensure correct part identification and delivery to correct location is a must to maintain inventory accuracy
- Conduct preventative maintenance on all equipment used
- Ensure paperwork from vendors is accurate
- Load and unload trucks
- Other duties as assigned such as driving a truck and working with other departments
