About The Position

The Mundy Companies, a leader in the industrial maintenance, services, and construction fields, is currently hiring the following for a long-term position in the Spartanburg, SC area: FORKLIFT OPERATOR ROTATING SHIFT WORK Successful candidates will have a minimum of three (3) years of continuous and current experience as a Forklift Operator in a petrochemical, industrial, or manufacturing environment. Forklift operators drive gasoline, liquefied gas, or electric powered industrial trucks equipped with lifting devices to lift or move products, equipment, or materials. The successful candidate will maintain a high degree of personal safety and environmental awareness at all time. This positions requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a safe, efficient manner. The ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing is also required. All qualified applicants must be craft certified or possess the ability to pass a craft test, as well as the ability to pass a criminal background check, pre-employment drug screen and other qualifications as required. Requirements

Responsibilities

Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus
Positions forks, lifting platforms, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials
Unloads and stacks material by raising or lowering lifting device
May inventory material on work floor and supply workers with materials as needed
May load or unload materials onto or off pallets or skids
May lubricate brick, recharge batteries, fill fuel tanks, or replace liquefied gas tanks
