About The Position

The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move materials throughout the warehouse, as well as loading and unloading trucks and shipping containers. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth warehouse operations by maintaining equipment and following safety standards.

Requirements

• Team-oriented with strong communication skills.
• Ability to read labels and numbers accurately.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication).
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions and stand for long periods.
• Forklift experience preferred
• certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and related equipment to move materials between unloading, processing, loading, and storage areas.
• Organize and secure stored materials such as boxes, pallets, and containers.
• Load and unload products manually or using equipment onto pallets, skids, or platforms.
• Perform routine pre- and post-operation inspections to ensure equipment is safe to use.
• Report equipment issues, damages, and safety hazards to the Supervisor.
• Weigh products/materials and maintain accurate labeling and tagging records.
• Complete forklift operator training and maintain certification.
• Assist with other warehouse tasks as assigned.
