This specific Forklift Operator position is a direct hire role with benefits and PTO from day one. The Forklift Operator is responsible for loading and unloading materials using a hand truck, reach truck, or forklift, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and identifying any discrepancies in receiving loads against the manifest.

Requirements

Forklift experience
Must be able to use forklifts, pallet jacks, and banding/shrink-wrap material
Experience using an RF scan gun is required
Must be able to work overtime as needed, occasional weekends
Must be able to read and comprehend work instructions well
High attention to detail required
Must have the ability to work well with others with little supervision
Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. unassisted
Must be able to speak, read, and write in English
1 year of previous warehouse experience
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
Ability to frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, use hands, reach, bend and lift objects above their head
Ability to regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds unassisted and use pallet jacks and forklifts

Nice To Haves

Previous forklift certifications preferred
Previous warehouse experience preferred

Responsibilities

Load and unload materials utilizing a hand truck, reach truck, or forklift
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Identify any discrepancies in receiving loads against manifest
Utilize manifest to pull route, stage freight, and assist Drivers in loading and unloading trucks
Perform material handling duties including picking, packing, scanning, kitting (as applicable), counting products, and other like duties, ensuring timeliness, packaging, and systems work is completed accurately
Identify and annotate overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D)
Safely operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
Read and follow detailed and defined instructions in a fast-paced environment
Ensure a safe and secure work environment, including all TSA and OSHA guidelines
Perform other duties as assigned
