This specific Forklift Operator position is a direct hire role with benefits and PTO from day one. The Forklift Operator is responsible for loading and unloading materials using a hand truck, reach truck, or forklift, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and identifying any discrepancies in receiving loads against the manifest.

Requirements

  • Forklift experience
  • Must be able to use forklifts, pallet jacks, and banding/shrink-wrap material
  • Experience using an RF scan gun is required
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed, occasional weekends
  • Must be able to read and comprehend work instructions well
  • High attention to detail required
  • Must have the ability to work well with others with little supervision
  • Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. unassisted
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write in English
  • 1 year of previous warehouse experience
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, use hands, reach, bend and lift objects above their head
  • Ability to regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds unassisted and use pallet jacks and forklifts

Nice To Haves

  • Previous forklift certifications preferred
  • Previous warehouse experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload materials utilizing a hand truck, reach truck, or forklift
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Identify any discrepancies in receiving loads against manifest
  • Utilize manifest to pull route, stage freight, and assist Drivers in loading and unloading trucks
  • Perform material handling duties including picking, packing, scanning, kitting (as applicable), counting products, and other like duties, ensuring timeliness, packaging, and systems work is completed accurately
  • Identify and annotate overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D)
  • Safely operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
  • Read and follow detailed and defined instructions in a fast-paced environment
  • Ensure a safe and secure work environment, including all TSA and OSHA guidelines
  • Perform other duties as assigned
