As a Forklift Operator at Caterpillar, you will: Locate and move products to storage or the assembly line in a safe timely manner. Ability to inspect and perform regular maintenance to forklift as necessary. Use of RF scanning equipment to ensure accuracy of inventory. Ability to obtain and maintain Forklift Certification through proven operation of equipment. May rotate to various positions within the Job Function area to perform related activities. Follows and utilizes CPS principles of 5S, Continuous Improvement Idea Reporting, Waste Elimination, and Standard Work. May investigate and resolve receiving discrepancies and notify appropriate personnel of results or required actions. Ability to identify damaged material and report shortages or quality deficiencies. Identify and correct or report safety hazards in the work area. Ensures grief and receiving processes and procedures are updated and communicated.

Requirements

At least 6 months of warehouse operations experience
At least 6 months of stand-up forklift and/or cherry/order picker experience OR a current Caterpillar Sanford forklift license
Must be able to frequently lift and carry boxes weighing up to 35 pounds for intervals of 15-30 minutes
Must be able to work at heights of up to 20 feet from the floor
Must be able to work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures
Must be able to walk, squat and bend over for intervals of 15-30 minutes

Responsibilities
