About The Position

Land Pride, a division of Great Plains Manufacturing, is seeking a 1st Shift Forklift Operator for our Abilene West facility in Abilene, KS.

This position works Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime on Fridays as required.

Requirements

• Must have forklift license or ability to obtain one
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Understand team concepts and be a strong team player
• Ability to excel in fast-paced, high-pressure situations
• Ability to use and understand AS400
• Ability to read blueprints, use tape measure, and read calipers

Nice To Haves

• Experience safely operating a forklift or similar equipment helpful

Responsibilities

• Provide safe movement of parts to required staging areas or locations
• Ensure correct part identification and delivery to correct location is a must to maintain inventory accuracy
• Complete preventative maintenance on all equipment used
• Ensure paperwork from vendors is accurate
• Load and unload trucks
• Flexibility to work with other departments and operate other equipment
• Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.
