About The Position

Great Plains Mfg has an opening for a 1st Shift Forklift Operator in the Material Handling Department at the Salina CE1 Facility.

This position works Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime on Fridays as required.

Nice To Haves

• Must have forklift license or ability to obtain one
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Understand team concepts and be a strong team player
• Excel in fast paced, high-pressure situations
• Ability to use and understand AS400
• Ability to read prints and be able to use tape measure, calipers, etc. as required

Responsibilities

• Provide safe movement of parts to required staging areas or locations
• Ensure correct part identification and delivery to correct location is a must to maintain inventory accuracy
• Conduct preventative maintenance on all equipment used
• Ensure paperwork from vendors is accurate
• Load and unload trucks
• Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment.
• Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.
