This position is responsible for operating a forklift at the facility in Mauldin, SC, ensuring health and safety, monitoring equipment, and handling the unloading and loading of wastes in accordance with company rules and regulations.

Requirements

1-3 years of shipping receiving and warehouse experience
High School Diploma/GED
Valid Drivers license
Able to operate Forklift
Ability to work well with others
Lift up to 75lbs
Climbing/Balance/bending/stooping/crawling
Standing/Sitting

Responsibilities

Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and always acting in a safe manner.
Monitors equipment assigned to the area and notifies the supervisor of major/minor issues and breakdowns.
Responsible for the unloading and loading of wastes in conformance to company rules and regulations.
Offloads and Check-in inbound waste streams.
Must perform daily PM and inspections on operating equipment.
Load, unload waste safely in accordance with Company, federal, state, and local regulations/rules.
Operate a fork truck with attachments.
Check for inconsistencies with manifested types and quantities with actual containers received in accordance with Company rules and regulations.
Use proper equipment to remove samples of materials for analysis and compatibility checks.
Responsible for keeping work areas, walls, pit drain, and floor in a clean and safe condition.
Understand Coding and labeling systems to handle and manage containers.
Position handles materials and will often require the use of PPE: Boots, Gloves, Suits, Eye/Ear Protection, and Respirator.
Shovels, sweeps, and cleans the area in which they are assigned periodically throughout the day.
Any other duty assigned by the Plant Manager.
