About The Position

The Forklift Operator plays a critical role in warehouse and production operations by safely and efficiently loading/unloading materials, transporting inventory, and supporting overall workflow. This position ensures accurate inventory rotation, proper storage practices, and adherence to safety standards while maintaining smooth and efficient warehouse operations.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Minimum 2 years of stand‑up forklift experience.
Forklift certification from Nation Pizza and Foods required within 48 hours of employment.
Ability to work overtime, irregular schedules, or rotating shifts.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Basic math skills, ability to perform simple statistical calculations, and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.

Nice To Haves

Prior stand‑up forklift experience
Barcoding knowledge
Experience with automated data collection systems

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate FEFO (First Expiration, First Out) staging to ensure proper rotation of all expiration‑dated materials.
Read and interpret production schedules, customer orders, and work orders to determine material movement needs.
Transport and distribute materials from receiving or production to designated storage locations.
Sort and organize materials based on size, type, or product code.
Support proper inventory management, including perishable goods storage and accurate staging.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures, reporting unsafe conditions or damage immediately.
Contribute to quality and efficiency improvements within the warehouse environment.
