Your Role at KIK We are seeking a Forklift Operator 1 on 3rd Shift (10:00 pm – 6:30 am/pm, Sun–Thur with weekends per business need), where you will safely move, load, and store materials that support production and shipping operations. You will operate forklifts and other material‑handling equipment, perform basic inventory and documentation tasks, and help ensure that finished goods leaving the facility meet quality and safety standards. You will work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment that follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), strict safety procedures, and continuous improvement principles.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 or more years of recent forklift experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
  • Current or prior forklift certification and strong knowledge of safe forklift operation around pedestrians, other forklifts, and equipment.​
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English and to understand shipping documents, labels, and inventory records.​
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to stay alert for long periods, and a safety‑first mindset when handling chemicals and finished goods.​
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and in different areas as needed.​
  • Ability to stand, sit, climb on and off the forklift, bend, crouch, and reach consistently for up to 12‑hour shifts.​
  • Ability to grasp and manipulate packaging components and to lift up to 45 lbs from floor to shoulder level.​
  • Comfortable working in a non‑temperature‑controlled manufacturing environment (heat, humidity, cold) with strong odors, high noise levels, and frequent exposure to chemicals while wearing required PPE.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate forklifts and other material‑handling equipment to load, unload, move, and stage materials, packaging, and finished goods for production and shipping.​
  • Load and receive materials from trailers; place product in and remove product from racking and designated storage areas.​
  • Perform inventory functions such as cycle counts, physical inventory, and product checks; use the warehouse management system/RFID or scanners to record movements and transactions.​
  • Complete required loading/shipping documentation, including HazMat documentation when applicable, and verify loads and labels for accuracy and damage.​
  • Perform packing/quality checks as required and ensure the final quality of every unit placed into a customer shipper; consult the Team Leader if unsure of quality standards.​
  • Hand‑stack or re‑stack pallets when necessary to maintain safe, stable loads and smooth operations.​
  • Maintain housekeeping and organization in assigned areas; promptly report unsafe conditions, damage, or near‑misses to your Team Leader or Supervisor.​
  • Follow all plant policies, including GMPs, SOPs, safety and PPE requirements, and participate in Continuous Improvement activities and other duties as assigned.​
