About The Position

TRG is part of Alter Trading Corporation, a 127-year-old, privately held company operating over 70+ scrap metal processing facilities across 11 states. We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to support daily yard operations. This role involves operating forklifts, managing the kiosk, and ensuring materials are sorted and processed according to quality standards.

Requirements

• Experience operating forklifts or similar equipment preferred
• Strong attention to safety and detail
• Ability to work in an outdoor, industrial environment
• Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of scrap metal materials and grades is a plus

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other yard equipment
• Manually unload customer scrap metal
• Perform equipment inspections to ensure safe operation
• Load, unload, and sort materials
• Inspect materials to meet quality standards
• Understand and apply knowledge of material grades and acceptable loads
• Perform basic equipment maintenance
• Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE
• Perform other duties as assigned
