About The Position

The purpose of the forklift position is to organize product in warehouses for shipping/receiving and/or stocking purposes. Other duties include using forklifts to unload deliveries, locating, and moving stock of product to storage or shipment.

Requirements

Must have the ability to accurately read, count, and match numbers
Must have the ability to use computers/scanning technology
Must be able to operate powered equipment in a safe manner
Able to perform basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, and multiplication
Must apply food safety and employee safety guidelines in all performance measures
Must have a minimum of High school diploma or equivalent desired but not required
3-5 years previous experience in a warehouse setting strongly preferred
Basis knowledge of computers required

Nice To Haves

Previous experience training new employees is ideal

Responsibilities

Obtain copy of daily truck schedule and transport material to/from designated areas of the facility
Examine product dates to verify quality standards
Stack product in correct warehouse locations or replenish stock pulled for orders
Complete paperwork
Safely operate forklift
Work in fast paced environment
Reclass product using the WMS process
Ability to multitask
Required to do basic housekeeping/sanitation duties during slow times
Assist with training new employees
Ensuring that product is rotated daily/as needed
