Full Job Description: Safely move raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods throughout the facility Load and unload deliveries using forklifts, pallet jacks, walkies, and other material handling equipment Stage materials for machine operators according to job travelers, production schedules, and work orders Band, wrap, label, and prepare materials for both internal and external customers Support production team with steady, timely material flow to avoid downtime Validate system accuracy of WIP ID and work closely with the foreman to ensure operators have work staged at their machines

Requirements

  • Able to manage tasks without micromanagement
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced operations environment
  • Ability to lift 60 lbs. and operate pallet jacks
  • Strong attention to detail and thorough with double-checking operators’ parts
  • Must be adaptable and with a positive attitude to help other team members
  • Must be willing and able to perform any job assignment as production levels shift and job priorities change

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift experience
  • Knowledge of raw materials such as steel, aluminum, and stainless steel
  • Familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems
  • Experience as a material handler or warehouse worker (manufactured environment preferred)
  • Basic understanding of inventory processes, work orders, job travelers, and WIP ID

Responsibilities

  • Safely move raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods throughout the facility
