About The Position

Responsible for assisting in a variety of warehouse duties, including shipping, and receiving, unloading, and loading trucks, fulfilling purchase orders, and keeping warehouse stocked with essential product goods, oversee the general organization of the warehouse.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Knowledge, skills, and ability to operate computer programs as needed
One year experience in a manufacturing/ industrial environment
Stand up Forklift Certification
Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal
Special certification may be required for use of forklift
Moderate degree of physical activity on a frequent basis
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Repetitive standing, walking, bending, twisting, stooping, grasping, climbing, reaching, and moving about the facility
Hearing ability to meet manufacturing facility safety requirements
Vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception
Able to work a multi shift environment
Will be required to work around spices and meat ingredients as part of the daily activities
Exposed to cold/ heat/ humidity

Responsibilities

Prepares orders by processing requests, pulling items, staging orders in rack to be ready for loading at time of pick up.
Verify that the goods are intact and report and defects.
Stock rotation (FIFO) ‘First In First Out’. Checking sell by dates and moving products with a later sell-by date to the back of the rack shelfs. Always using products in the correct order unless specified by Supervisor. Putting away daily production.
Checking that product is in good condition before using it.
Removing any damages from storage and report immediately to Supervisor.
Load trucks and check to ensure that they match with the documents such as the bill of lading, shipping invoice.
Signing off on shipments
Unload product-supplies from the trucks and check to ensure that they match with the delivery documents and report any discrepancies to Supervisor. Put away all inbound product, materials in designated locations.
Accepts, verifies, and inspects inbound and outbound product and supplies.
Production support, assist in providing the needed supplies requests made by production such as packaging materials, ingredients needed to keep production running. Verifies that all items have the proper pallet tag attached for lot code traceability and ensuring the FIFO is being followed.
Maintains the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse area.
Inventory counting materials, product. Help with organization of warehouse.
Organizational skills and attention to detail.
Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
Must be able to complete various activities in the warehouse that may require hours of lifting, standing, and carrying.
Move product from warehouse to pick up area.
Physically able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
