About The Position

Yazoo Mills, Inc., a privately owned manufacturer of high-quality paper tubes and cores, is seeking a Forklift Operator. The role is hybrid, requiring movement between plants as needed to support production, and includes responsibilities such as verifications, record keeping, and preparing items for shipment, all while adhering to quality and productivity standards.

Requirements

• High School education/GED
• 1-2 years of forklift experience
• Ability to lift 50 lbs., bend and twist throughout the work day
• Knowledge of UPS/FedEx shipping procedures
• Problem solving skills
• Analytical ability
• Communication skills
• Interpersonal skills
• Ability to do repetitive tasks
• Must be willing to travel to other facilities as needed

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift safely and efficiently
• Operate stretch wrap banders and other necessary packaging equipment
• Identify errors and packaging defects and correct accordingly
• Communicate essential information needed to ensure proper and timely deliveries
• Comply with safety regulations/procedures and maintain clean and orderly work area
• Operate a baler/shredder for recycling product
• Accept and receive supervision and assistance with regards to maintenance functions and other essential tasks as assigned
• Perform verifications and record keeping
• Prepare items for shipment
