About The Position

Forklift Operator- Days or Midnights Schedule: Days (7:00am-3:00pm) Midnight:(11:00pm-7:am) Why This Role Safety-first culture: See something, say something. What You'll Do Operate forklifts safely: You will move, stage, and store steel coils and finished goods; complete and log daily PIT inspections. Keep machines productive: Align orders/picklists per machine schedule, empty scrap tubs, clear finished product, align orders/picklists per machine schedule. Expedite materials based on customer priorities; support crane operations and Shipping/Receiving as required. Use IT systems (Oracle) to locate, transact, and reconcile inventory; maintain accurate labels and picklists. Contribute to CI: Use daily transformation tools; raise hazards/ideas; help standardize work. Own your area: Keep aisles clear, materials stacked/tagged and housekeep to 5S standards. All other duties as assigned to support safe, reliable throughput. What You Bring Safety mindset: Complete daily equipment inspections, follow job instructions and standard operating procedures; identify and fix the operation when something's not right. Detail & pace: Places coils precisely, works efficiently without cutting corners. Team player: Clear communication including hand signals and radio etiquette; supports all machines and operations throughout the facility. Tech basics: Comfortable with evolving technology (Oracle a plus). Attendance & reliability: Strong attendance record-this role supports live production. Nice to Have Steel/coil or heavy manufacturing experience Overhead crane exposure Current PIT certification (we also train/recertify) Physical & Work Environment Lift/pull up to ~35 lbs. occasionally; frequent sitting on equipment; bending/twisting/standing. Indoor mill environment: required PPE provided (safety shoes, safety glasses, hard hat, hearing protection, etc.). Pay & Benefits $21-$26/hr. depending on experience + afternoon/midnight shift premium Overtime pay: Time and a half after 40 hours, double time after 48 hours • Paid vacation + 11 paid holidays • Day 1 benefits: Medical, dental, vision, life insurance (we cover 87% of medical costs!) • 401(k): 3% automatic company contribution - plus match up to 2% • Quarterly profit-sharing: Average annual payout of $6,000-$10,000 • $180 boot allowance • Tuition reimbursement + $5,000 adoption benefit • Free coffee, hot drinks, on-site barbershop, and fitness center Important: All candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
