About The Position

The Forklift Operator plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe movement of materials within a warehouse or distribution center. This position is responsible for operating stand-up forklifts to load, unload, and transport goods, maintaining the flow of inventory to meet operational demands. The operator will work closely with warehouse staff to accurately pick orders and manage stock locations using RF scanners and other warehouse technology. Safety and compliance with all operational guidelines are paramount to prevent accidents and maintain a secure working environment. Ultimately, the Forklift Operator contributes to the overall productivity and success of the transportation and warehousing operations by ensuring timely and accurate handling of materials.

Requirements

• Valid forklift operator certification or license in accordance with OSHA standards.
• Proven experience operating stand-up forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Basic understanding of warehouse safety protocols and material handling procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret RF scanner data and warehouse documentation.
• Physical ability to perform repetitive tasks, including lifting, standing, and maneuvering equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with general warehouse operations including order picking and inventory control.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanning technology.
• Previous experience in the transportation and warehousing industry.

Responsibilities

• Operate stand-up forklifts to move, load, and unload materials safely and efficiently within the warehouse.
• Perform order picking and inventory management using RF scanners to ensure accuracy and timely processing.
