About The Position
We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to support daily yard operations. This role involves operating forklifts, managing the kiosk, and ensuring materials are sorted and processed according to quality standards.
Requirements
- Experience operating forklifts or similar equipment preferred
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Ability to work in an outdoor, industrial environment
- Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of scrap metal materials and grades is a plus
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other yard equipment
- Manually unload customer scrap metal
- Perform equipment inspections to ensure safe operation
- Load, unload, and sort materials
- Inspect materials to meet quality standards
- Understand and apply knowledge of material grades and acceptable loads
- Perform basic equipment maintenance
- Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE
- Perform other duties as assigned
