About The Position

The Forklift Operator is a key contributor to efficient warehouse operations, supporting accurate order fulfillment and timely shipment preparation. This role is responsible for safely and effectively operating both sit-down and stand-up forklifts while performing a variety of material handling tasks, including picking, loading and unloading inbound and outbound shipments, completing replenishments, assisting with LTL processing, and supporting inventory control activities such as bin validations and cycle counts.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1–2 years of warehouse experience, including cycle counting.
  • Minimum 1 year of forklift operation experience.
  • Valid forklift certification for both stand-up and sit-down equipment.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
  • Good vision, balance, and spatial awareness.
  • Familiarity with common warehouse equipment and tools.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Dependable, reliable, and committed to maintaining a high standard of work.

Responsibilities

  • Pick, verify, and load materials to support all shipping activities.
  • Assist receiving by identifying damages, reporting shortages and quality issues, and properly putting away materials.
  • Unload, stack, wrap, move, stage, and transport products throughout the warehouse or into containers using a forklift.
  • Use an RF scanning device to track and record inventory movements.
  • Support Warehouse Operator I tasks as needed.
  • Conduct forklift inspections, report repair needs, and maintain proper equipment records.
  • Follow all warehouse policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Promote and maintain a Safety-First culture, ensuring a safe working environment at all times.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and well-kept work areas throughout the facility.
  • Perform bin-to-bin transfers and replenishment of pick bins.
  • Complete bin validations to support inventory accuracy.
  • Assist with detailed cycle counts and other inventory control processes.
  • Support special projects as assigned by the Operations Supervisor or Inventory Supervisor.
  • Assist with LTL CCR carrier routing and related documentation.
