Forklift Operator - Second and Third Shifts

About The Position

Qualified candidates must be able to perform a variety of jobs, tasks, or duties as required; and must be able to work their bid shift, overtime, and weekends as required. The tasks required, but not limited to, are general housekeeping, clean up, sweeping, vacuuming, painting, lubrication (oiling, greasing, etc.), sample retrieval, power washing, lifting and hauling items up and down stairs, dumping of rework, operate a motorized forklift, and other duties as assigned by supervision. Keep lines stocked with packaging materials so line can maintain maximum line efficiency Remove finished product so line can maintain the maximum line efficiency Fill out appropriate paper work required for this position Knowledge of basic operation of equipment on line Successfully and safely operate forklifts Successfully pass the appropriate qualification test for the area in which the Production Worker is assigned There are multiple second shift (2:30pm - 11:00pm) third shift (10:30pm - 7:00am) openings. Overtime, weekends, and some holidays will be required. Third shift runs Sunday - Thursday (plus OT).

Requirements

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Related Experience: Previous relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Equipment/Software Skills: Basic computer knowledge - data entry
Be active and participate in efficiency and safety improvement teams
Learn and follow written rules and procedures
Produce accurate documentation
Maintain acceptable attendance
Must be willing and able to learn various positions
Must fill in when needed in temporary/permanent vacancies
Must adhere to and comply with all safety, food safety, environmental, GMP rules, regulations and policies
Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds, climb stairs, lift, bend, kneel, stand for long periods of time; work in confined spaces, and work with heights.
