See how your contributions will help transform vision into reality: Grade: 3 Position Overview: The forklift operator will be responsible for ensuring that all large scrap containers are in the proper locations and stay at acceptable levels throughout the facility. Diversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of recent forklift operator experience
  • Physically able to lift to 50 pounds or more
  • Able to work overtime when required.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must be able to adapt to changing requirements in a positive and proactive way
  • Ability to interact professionally and effectively with all levels within the organization
  • Must be flexible to work extended hours to support the requirements of the business.

  • Valid forklift operator certification

Responsibilities

  • Moving containers through the plant, indoor/outdoor.
  • Must have ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondences, and memos.
  • Must have ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Standing/ driving for up to 8-10 hours.
  • Maintain cleanliness, ensure safety compliance to include PPE adherence, safety policy adherence, and safe behaviors and conditions.
  • Must possess the desire and ambition to always work safely and report all hazards to their supervisor immediately.
  • Must understand basic terminology such as OSHA, DEP, and other regulatory agencies.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment where designated, including but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, etc.
