The FGWH Material Handler must be able to operate forklift equipment and be prepared to meet production standards and specifications. The FGWH Material Handler is also responsible for the safe and efficient performance of assigned tasks. This is an hourly production position. Must be able to receive written and oral instructions as to specs, procedures, tolerances, and various construction and quality requirements. Follow standard practices and perform all work necessary to promptly and accurately obtain quality and quantity production, follow plant Safety policies, Plant policies, Environmental policies, and keep work areas neat, clean and orderly. Must be able to effectively communicate with supervision, other personnel, and any supplying department supervision. Perform other duties as directed by the Supervisor or Department Manager.

Requirements

  • HS diploma /GED
  • Successful completion of Work Keys Assessment.
  • Willing to work 12 hour rotating shifts – days and nights.
  • Able to safely handle 100lb tires, roll, maneuver, etc.
  • Must be able to operate forklift equipment and be prepared to meet production standards and specifications.
  • Must be able to receive written and oral instructions as to specs, procedures, tolerances, and various construction and quality requirements.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with supervision, other personnel, and any supplying department supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 year experience in forklift driving preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure delivery and service quality towards customers.
  • Help to perform receipt, storage, production delivery, and tracking of tires both domestically and internationally including document preparation.
  • Verify delivery quantities and dates with production.
  • Effectively perform operations with Quality.
  • Ensure compliance to all mandatory requirements including Safety, Environmental, ISO, Quality, Plant policy, Corporate Policy, housekeeping, etc.
  • Complete special tasked assigned by FG Warehouse Supervisor & Warehouse Manager.
  • Perform all warehouse functions according to Continental Quality Management.
  • Strive for optimal quality, costs and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy by performing necessary BIN utilization activity, Tire Age, Putaway, picking, etc.
  • Maintain 5S standard throughout all warehouse areas and functions.
  • Adhere to all ESH rules and regulations.
  • Operate forklift equipment and be prepared to meet production standards and specifications.
  • Responsible for the safe and efficient performance of assigned tasks.
  • Receive written and oral instructions as to specs, procedures, tolerances, and various construction and quality requirements.
