Shipping Forklift Operator PR07 - 2nd Shift - New Holland Warehouse
About The Position
Forklift Operator Shipping Tasks: The position is responsible for manifesting and loading trailers. Applicants will be considered for openings in any department that may include but are not limited to Shipping and Receiving. Must accept work in a cold and damp environment with temperatures ranging from 28 to 42 degrees. Jobs are fast-paced and require repetitive motion. Some positions require lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 40+ lbs. Material Handling and Receiving positions require lifting 70+ lbs. Constant standing, walking, and riding of powered material handling equipment (forklifts, stand-up lifts). Specialized training for powered industrial trucks is required to be qualified within Tyson Foods, Inc. Requirements
- Willingness to work in a cold and wet environment.
- Willingness to lift as needed up to 40 pounds.
- Must be able to train for and pass forklift license training.
- Must have good hand and eye coordination.
- Willingness to stand throughout 8-9 hour shifts.
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends.
- Must be willing to accept and carry through on request and directions given.
- Must be willing to learn other duties.
- This facility may run 6 days a week, Monday-Saturday.
- Willingness to walk/stand for the duration of the shift.
- Must be able to obtain company forklift certification.
- Willing to read bills of lading, write and communicate with supervisor via e-mail.
- Willingness to perform basic math to assure proper cases per load are being shipped and make work related computations pertaining to shipping orders.
- Bending, twisting, turning, and good hand/eye coordination is required.
- Willingness to read, follow and understand the loading procedures.
- Use of EIM (Enterprise Inventory Management) device to scan all packaging and ingredients that leave the warehouse or are removed from trailers.
- Must have 6-month Forklift experience listed on the application (can be a combination of employers as long as the experience is a total of at least 6 months).

- 180 days (6 months) waiting period
- Max of two previous Tyson employments to be considered for hire.
