The Forklift Operator will be responsible for performing various duties in the warehouse in a fast-paced lean environment to include: receiving and put-away of all inbound receipts, shipping, and replenishment (stocking) of products to pick locations via forklift or by cart moves. Maintain inventory accuracy. Monitor coolers/freezer temperatures. Responsible for keeping warehouse area organized. Must have both stand-up and sit-down forklift experience and RF scan gun experience. The hours would be Monday through Friday 6am to 2pm at $20.00/hr. Position responsibilities include, but not limited to Available to work a variety of shifts including days, evening, nights and weekends due to varying freight volumes Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight using appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jack, forklift and by hand as needed Must be able to operate stand up forklifts primarily as these will be used the majority of the time Utilize mobile handheld devices for tracking shipments Safely climb in and out of trailers Lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes and weights (up to 50 lbs. frequently) Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies (e.g. pallets, straps, rope) Safety walk and stand for extended periods of time on a loading dock that has potential to be below freezing and may become slippery Safely reach, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel as necessary to perform the job duties Verify and complete required documentation and reports Adhere to company safety policies Frequent contact with co-workers and supervisors; fast-paced and deadline oriented Safely work in cold weather conditions
