Forklift Operator
About The Position
West Vancouver Materials Recovery Center (West Van), a Waste Connections company, is looking to hire a highly motivated & safety driven, Forklift Operator, to work at our Transfer Station in Vancouver, WA. Pay range is $27-$29/HR DOE Schedule is Monday - Friday Shift is 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM with some overtime as needed. Safety Sensitive: Yes Qualified candidates must have Forklift operating experience. REQUIRES ability to efficiently & safely operate Forklift. Specific duties can change on the daily basis as operation needs change. Working outside in all weather conditions.
Requirements

- Ability to adhere to work schedule and follow through on challenges as they arise
- Minimum 1 year of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of computer skills.
- Pre-employment requirements for this safety sensitive position include drug panel screening & criminal background check.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklift or other equipment as needed.
- Perform routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.
- Completes daily reports on pre and post trip inspections of equipment.
- Yard and facility maintenance including debris and clean up.
- Spotting Trucks.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
