We are seeking qualified candidates for Forklift Operator for our Receiving Department at our Byhalia, Mississippi Distribution Center. 2nd Shift- Monday to Thursday: 4 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. The Forklift Operator is responsible for picking and loading freight securely and correctly. In this role you will ensure that work is done in a safe and timely manner.
Requirements
- HS Diploma or GED is desirable.
- Minimum 1 year of experience driving a reach/sit down, and walkie rider.
- Must be able to bend, squat, kneel, reach overhead, and stand/walk for up to 4 hours at a time and push/pull lift up to 45 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- Warehouse Management System experience desired; HighJump experience highly desired
Responsibilities
- Drive a cherry picker, reach and sit-down forklift equipment with lifting devices to push, pull, stack or move products.
- Check assigned forklift at beginning of shift to ensure unit is functional.
- Obtain proper documents from supervisor or lead person indicating priority of work assignments.
- Review reports/orders/customer instructions to ensure proper handling of product.
- Monitor assigned areas of the warehouse for damaged product/pallets.
- Ensure production standards are maintained.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
- Other duties as assigned by the Management Team
