About The Position
Looking for a steady, hands-on role where you can put your forklift skills to work? We are hiring a Forklift Operator / Dock Worker to join our team in Cedar Rapids. This is a rugged, fast-paced environment involving cracker meal production—perfect for someone who isn't afraid to get their hands dirty and stay active all day. Quick Hire position start day after application is complete. The Work Environment This isn't a "clean room" warehouse. You will be working in a cracker meal plant setting that is outside and dock doors are open: Dusty & Loud: High-volume production environment. Temperature Controlled: Expect cold and sometimes wet conditions. Active: You’ll be moving between the forklift, production floors, and elevated areas.
Requirements
- Forklift Experience: Proven ability to operate a lift safely in tight or busy areas.
- Physical Resilience: Comfort working at heights, in small spaces, and in dusty/wet/cold conditions.
- Strength: Ability to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally.
- Reliability: A "show up and work" mindset with a focus on safety and company policy.
- Preparation: Must be willing to dress appropriately for a cold/dusty plant (specific PPE will be provided for certain tasks).
Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Expertly operate a forklift to move materials, load/unload feed, and support production flow.
- Facility Upkeep: Take pride in a safe workspace by sweeping floors and performing general cleaning throughout the plant.
- Sanitation & Maintenance: Assist with daily plant cleaning (using hoses and cold water) during both active production and downtime.
- Specialized Tasks: Perform duties in elevated areas or confined spaces as required by the facility layout.
- Safety First: Maintain constant awareness of your surroundings while on the lift and strictly follow all safety PPE protocols.
Benefits

- Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (40 hours/week).
