About The Position

The Forklift Operator at Active Minerals International is responsible for operating forklifts and other equipment in a kaolin clay processing environment. This role involves ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials, maintaining cleanliness in the work area, and adhering to safety protocols. Requirements

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work individually and in a team atmosphere.
• Strong moral and ethical standards.
• Experience operating a forklift.
• General working knowledge of MSHA Safety requirements.
• Ability to pass a Respirator Fit Test, with no facial hair that interferes with the seal.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret packaging work orders.
• Inspect loads to ensure they match work orders and bills of lading.
• Perform pre-operational checks on equipment at the beginning of each shift.
• Operate stretch-wrap machine.
• Operate forklift to move pallets, bags, or clean up hopper as needed.
• Maintain housekeeping around the work area, including sweeping the warehouse.
