About The Position

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, possibly staying after hours for clean-up purposes.
• Forklift or Shipping/Receiving experience is preferred but not necessary.
• Ability to stay within the Hyster for long periods of time along with walking, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling and climbing may be required regularly.
• Ability to lift 50 or more pounds consistently and 100 or more pounds on occasion.

Responsibilities

• Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations.
• Efficiently stack and store the merchandise in the appropriate locations.
• Ensure inbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
• Report quality variances to the Purchasing department.
• Load, unload, move, stack and stage product and materials using a forklift.
• Use radio frequency equipment for receiving and putting away and delivery of materials as needed.
• Maintain the facilities equipment and materials in a neat, clean and orderly fashion.
• Inspect and perform minor maintenance on the forklift or other equipment on a daily basis.
• Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.
• Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained.
• Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area.
• Assist in maintaining the security of the facility.
• Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety and comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards.
