About The Position
As a Forklift Operator at Elite Staffing Inc., you will play a crucial role in the logistics and warehousing operations by manually moving products and materials, as well as performing various general labor tasks. Your primary responsibilities will include reading orders or receiving oral instructions to determine your work assignments, and accurately recording the number of units handled and moved. You will be expected to move products and materials to and from storage areas, loading docks, and delivery vehicles using both manual labor and specialized equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. Sorting products before loading and unloading will also be part of your daily tasks, along with performing light maintenance duties as required. The position requires physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs, as well as pushing and pulling loads of up to 80 lbs. You will be operating machinery, which necessitates a high level of coordination and communication with both management and peers. Written and oral communication skills in English are essential, as is the ability to meet strict deadlines and coordinate with others to accomplish work activities. The role includes responsibilities for work outcomes, and you will be working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions, which may involve exposure to extreme temperatures, both hot and cold. In addition to the physical demands, the job requires standing for extended periods and performing repetitive movements, including walking, bending, twisting, and manual dexterity. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe work environment and keeping your work area clean. This position is full-time, with a second shift from 4:00 PM to 11:30 PM, and overtime may be mandatory. All employees must be 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States.
