About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to join our components plant team. In this role, you will support daily production by unloading trucks and railcars, moving banded loads of trusses from the line, stacking them to stage for delivery, and assisting with workflow throughout the facility. This position is essential to keeping the plant running efficiently and ensuring materials are delivered accurately to each work area.

Requirements

• Previous forklift experience required; certification preferred (company-provided training available)
• Comfortable working outdoors and indoors in varying weather conditions
• Strong attention to safety and awareness of surroundings
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and stand/walk for most of the shift
• Team-oriented attitude with good communication skills

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts and material-handling equipment in a fast-paced production environment
• Load, unload, and transport lumber, truss components, and finished products
• Support production lines by staging lumber and replenishing materials
• Inspect forklifts daily and report maintenance or safety concerns
• Maintain clean, organized yard and plant areas
• Follow all company safety policies, including PPE and equipment guidelines
• Assist with general labor tasks as needed
