About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Material Handler in Dekalb, Illinois, offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a fulfilling career. This role involves working as a Warehouse Forklift Operator / Driver with a weekly pay of $20.30 per hour. The schedule is a three-and-a-half day workweek, specifically Sunday - Tuesday from 5:15 am to 4:45 pm and Wednesday from 5:15 am to 11:15 am. Employees will work in a safe, temperature-controlled facility (60 degrees Fahrenheit) handling candy products, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment such as Stand-up High Reach and Dock Lift. Ryder provides on-the-job paid training, and benefits like Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401K start at 30 days, with a company match for 401K. Requirements

Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent
One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience

Responsibilities

Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting
Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
Responsible for the accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading and unloading of trucks
Responsible of dealing with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
Provide technical and maintenance support for different aspects related to the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production
Performs other duties as assigned
