About The Position

The position involves essential duties and responsibilities related to the operation and maintenance of the auto scale, manual scaling at the reweigh station, and ensuring inventory accuracy. The role requires physical labor, including stacking boxes weighing 45-50 pounds, operating forklifts and pallet jacks, and maintaining cleanliness in the work area. Team members are expected to observe and enforce company policies regarding personnel, quality, safety, and food safety, while maintaining a positive work atmosphere.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to perform basic math skills including addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, and percentage calculations.
• Valid forklift and pallet jack license or ability to obtain a license.
• Ability to learn new procedures, including bar code scanner equipment and stacking grids.
• Ability to work variable hours and maintain excellent attendance.
• Familiarity with computer systems.
• Ability to work in a cold environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to pass a Prove It test.
• Demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the general operation and basic maintenance of the auto scale.
• Performs manual scaling at the reweigh station.
• Stacks boxes weighing 45-50 pounds on pallets segregated by product code.
• Assists with rework by repairing cases or identifying cases for return.
• Submits daily scale adjustment reports to assure inventory accuracy.
• Rotates stock as required.
• Operates forklift and pallet jack safely and efficiently.
• Loads trucks with equipment and by hand, varying in weight up to 50 pounds per case.
• Fills customer orders accurately using Telxon equipment.
• Keeps area clean by performing daily general sanitation.
• Reports shipping problems or concerns to Supervisor or Lead Person immediately.

Benefits

• Starting pay of $21.69 per hour plus a $1.00 shift differential.
