About The Position

Responsible for servicing production materials within the manufacturing facility to ensure accurate inventory control and continuous operational support. This role includes the safe operation of a sit-down propane forklift to transport, load, unload, stage, and store materials in accordance with established safety policies and company procedures. The position requires adherence to all safety regulations and company standards in a safety-sensitive manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years' experience operating a sit-down propane forklift.
  • Proven experience operating forklifts in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations when operating a forklift.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient in English to follow verbal and written instructions and safety policies.
  • Must be able to use a tape measure.
  • Heavy lifting (up to 60 pounds), bending, and stooping are required.
  • Punctuality a must.
  • Able to use an RF Scanner and general understanding of shop-floor control systems.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing safety-sensitive environment.
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed.
  • Regular and predictable attendance, safe performance of tasks, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of the job.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform safety inspection and complete forklift inspection before operating forklift.
  • Continuously operating a forklift, moving materials throughout the plant.
  • Make sure all pallets are secured, shrink wrapped, and strapped properly.
  • Operate a sit-down propane forklift in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Store incoming materials in designated warehouse locations.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts as assigned.
  • Utilize RF scanners and shop-floor control systems as required.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
  • Assist in unloading finished product from production facility.
  • Comply with all company policies, safety regulations, and standard operating procedures.
  • Assist with cycle counts and general warehouse duties.
  • Communicate as necessary with coworkers and supervisors.
  • Additional duties as assigned by leads, coordinator, and management.
